Electronics Park is a landmark 181-acre office/industrial business park conveniently
located in the Town of Salina, six miles from
Originally built in 1946 for General Electric as the company’s post-war radio and
television design and production center, Electronics Park is now used for engineering,
research, and development by its anchor tenant,
Lockheed Martin MS2.
A leading producer of air, sea, and ground-based electronic systems servicing customers
worldwide, Lockheed Martin Corporation employs more than 2,300 people at Electronics
Park and occupies 1.4 million square feet of 1.8 million square feet of space in
the building complex.
As Lockheed Martin’s requirements in Syracuse changed during the early to mid-1990s,
the company explored ways in which excess space within various
industrial and office buildings at the park
might be best used. In addition, significant well-positioned acreage was, and is,
available for future development.
In order to develop the area in an efficient and professional way Electronics
Park LLC has retained Pyramid Brokerage Company, Inc. to provide all types of professional
real estate services associated with a business park of this nature. Pyramid's involvement
has allowed for the development of creative and financially
attractive deal structures. Pyramid's impact on Electronics Park promises to show
a positive growth in the Electronics Park area.
Approximately 20 acres of land are available within Electronics Park for development
by tenants requiring buildings specific to their needs. Building sites range in
size from one to seven acres. Approximately five acres of land has been zoned
commercial and are available for such uses
as a restaurant, health club, bank, and day care center.
One building, approximately 110,000 square feet in size and 2 ½ stories, is available
for redevelopment. Building 3, the former E-Lab, contains many clean room laboratories.
Current tenants at the Park include Lockheed Martin; Laboratory Alliance of CNY;
RMSCO-EBS; Best Western Hotel; Gallagher Electric, LLP; and Integrated Medical Devices.
Electronics Park is located within Onondaga County near the geographical center
of New York state, and at the crossroads of the region’s highway system, adjacent
to Exit 37 of the New York State Thruway, and five minutes from Syracuse’s central
business district via nearby interstate 81. Major metropolitan areas such as Toronto,
Buffalo, Albany, Boston, and New York City are easily accessible by car or by direct
flight from Syracuse’s Hancock International Airport,
located just minutes from the park’s entrance.
