The Events Administrator forThe Tech Garden (TTG) is responsible for all of the events related to TTG and the Innovation & Entrepreneurship portfolio.

Essential Event Manager Duties:

  1. Work collaboratively with fellow staff, consultants, investors, and the business community to tailor events to TTG member’s needs.
  2. Create events that support TTG Programs, Resources, and Marketing Departments catering to community members, innovators, investors, entrepreneurs, and the local business community.
  3. Obtaining supplies and equipment, set up, organize, and tear down event venues. 
  4. Solicit and manage revenue opportunities for TTG event space.
  5. Connect and keep informed of events happening within the local innovation ecosystem and collaborate with other ecosystem partners for synergistic events.
  6. Manage a yearly TTG events calendar and inform CenterState CEO employees of upcoming TTG events as well as other ecosystem events.
  7. Collaborate with the Marketing Department on marketing efforts (print, digital, and social media) to promote TTG events.
  8. Seek feedback (surveys, exit interviews, and social media) on client satisfaction of events to affect continuous improvement.

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Support the Tech Garden’s Content and Marketing Manager with other duties as assigned.
  • Perform all duties with the highest ethical and professional standards, often including strict confidentiality.
  • Participate as an active and eager member of a larger team, cooperating and supporting colleagues with duties as directed.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in event planning, management, hospitality or related field or
  • One to two years’ experience in event planning, management, hospitality or related field

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present event ideas and plans at staff meetings
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Positive attitude, highly organized with the ability to multi-task
