PROGRAM COORDINATOR, GENIUS NY

The Program Coordinator will help manage CenterState CEO’s GENIUS NY program and assist companies with programming, resources, and events. GENIUS NY is the world’s largest accelerator competition for unmanned systems and attracts teams from around the world to locate their business at CenterState CEO’s Tech Garden in downtown Syracuse, NY. The program is designed to help companies grow and prosper in Central NY and continue to develop the unmanned aerial systems (UAS) ecosystem currently being funded and developed in the Syracuse and Utica/Rome regions.

The position will be responsible for administration, oversee company progress and funding requests, plan and assemble workshops, events, and conferences. The program coordinator will work directly with the GENIUS NY program director and marketing manager. The position offers opportunities to learn about companies focused on unmanned systems, specifically UAS, and gain significant networking and mentoring relationships. The individual should have strong administration and organizational skills, ideally having an interest in new technologies and entrepreneurship. Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Excel is preferred.

Job Requirements

  • A “team-oriented” approach, in which s/he is motivated by the success of The Tech Garden incubator and the accomplishments of GENIUS NY teams;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity and different work and cultural styles with agility.

  • The Program Coordinator will report directly to the Director of GENIUS NY, a program hosted at The Tech Garden
