The Clean Tech Center

The Clean Tech Center develops renewable and clean energy technology companies in New York State. A program of The Tech Garden, The Clean Tech Center is funded by NYSERDA to develop emerging businesses and commercializing technologies in renewable energy, alternative fuels, system integration and smart grid technologies, transportation, buildings and construction technologies, and other innovative applications.

The Center's location in The Tech Garden, the Northeast's premier entrepreneurial ecosystem, provides Clean Tech Center businesses access to funding programs that support commercialization like Grants for Growth, intensive incubation programs that support startups, like the Germinator, workshops to improve skills through Tech Meetup, and access to facilities including meeting spaces, reception services, and office equipment.

As a program of CenterState CEO, an independent and forward thinking economic development strategist, business leadership organization and chamber of commerce, Clean Tech Center companies have direct access to an extensive network of regional resources and support. Clean Tech Center companies have access to services offered to members of the chamber, as well as other business development activities. Through the chamber, Clean Tech Center clients have direct access to potential: manufacturers and developers, first customers, and funders and supporters. A key partnership with the Syracuse Center of Excellence also provides extensive testing facilities, funding support, and research and development opportunities.

The Clean Tech Center staff works with each Clean Tech Center client to determine where they are with their business and maps and connects them to the resources needed to launch and grow their businesses.
