Hancock Airpark is a 425-acre industrial and office park located in the Town
of Cicero, New York, which was acquired in 1987 by Onondaga County from the U. S.
Air Force and leased to Hancock Field Development Corporation, a private, not-for-profit
organization that has the right to option, lease, and sell the land to end users
or developers for airport use, aviation-related purposes, or industrial and commercial
use. The key objective of HFDC is to attract high-quality manufacturing and commercial
facilities to locate at the Airpark.

that serves as a gateway to the Northeastern and Midwestern United States as well
as Southeastern Canada; an outstanding transportation network; readily available

In the last five years, Hancock Airpark has seen more commercial development
than any other area in Onondaga County. To date, HFDC has returned 50 acres to the
tax rolls, brought more than $30 million in private investment and 750 jobs to Hancock
Airpark. In addition, Hancock Field Development Corporation is upgrading roads and
infrastructure in the Airpark, opening up 45-50 acres of property for new development.
Strategic Location
Hancock Airpark is located within a one-minute drive of Interstates 81 and 481,
approximately five miles north of the City of Syracuse, and is adjacent to
Hancock International Airport,
which provides easy access to New York City, Philadelphia, the Baltimore-Washington
metropolitan area, and to Montreal and Quebec in Canada. The Airpark is also within
five minutes of the New York State Thruway (I-90), which connects Syracuse with
Boston, Rochester, Buffalo, Toronto, Cleveland, Detroit, and Chicago. More than
100 million people live within ten hours driving time. Syracuse also enjoys extensive
rail connections to major metropolitan centers in the East and Midwest, and maritime
access though the nearby St. Lawrence Seaway.
