Metro Business and Export Plans

CenterState CEO is excited to be working with regional partners and the Brookings Institution to develop a Metropolitan Business Plan (MBP) and a Metropolitan Export Initiative (MEI). These separate, yet integrated initiatives, will allow CenterState CEO to engage stakeholders across the 12-county CenterState region to create a renewed regional economic development and business growth strategy.

Get Involved
Engagement and business buy-in is one of the key goals of the Brookings Institutions' initiative to help us develop a regional business plan and export initiative.

MBP
Regional partners involved in the Brookings MBP process have just released a set of comprehensive statistics to the public that will be used in developing future economic development strategies for the region.  The MBP team is in the process of analyzing this data, but we are looking for additional input from anyone interested in taking a detailed look at our regional economy.  We encourage you to review this data and provide feedback to us through this short questionnaire

MEI
CenterState CEO, in conjunction with several regional economic development partners, is building a plan to increase our region’s exports over the next five years.  CEO will use this data to help develop the best strategies and projects to achieve the region’s goal, but we need your feedback.

We ask that you review the new export data released by the Brookings Institution regarding the CenterState region’s exporting capabilities.  This date includes new statistics, in addition to the economic data from the MBP that was released in September.  Next, please take a brief, five question survey, to provide your feedback.

You may comment on either or both sets of data.  Your input on what these data sets mean to you and your business is critical and will help shape future strategies and plans.  It will also let us know of your support for this initiative, and will help us generate a list of priority partners to work with as we identify strategies and resources to grow our region's economy. If you have any questions, please contact Ben Sio at bsio@centerstateceo.com.

The MBP and MEI will engage partners and stakeholders across the region in developing a collaborative strategy for long term economic growth.
