Racial Equity and Social Impact Coordinator

This position assists the Vice President of Racial Equity and Social Impact (RESI) in managing programming to maximize client services for existing and potential clients in the local business community and across the country. The RESI Coordinator also supports the RESI division's race and equity work within the organization, community and beyond, including diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) services and programming for staff and members. Additional areas of support include implementing key strategies to grow Generation Next programming, and opportunities to engage diverse and upcoming leaders in various sectors in the community.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (additional duties may be assigned)

  • Manage and facilitate programming for RESI and Generation Next.
  • Contribute to monthly newsletter; draft and submit email to Listserv and work with CenterState CEO Communications team to execute these goals.
  • Maintain internal dashboard, update Salesforce, manage program delivery logistics.
  • Support the internal community advisory team.
  • Cultivate and maintain new and existing community partnerships.
  • Represent CenterState CEO’s RESI division on committees across the region.
  • Assistance with basic financial practices with a focus on maintaining program budget.
  • Advise and coordinate with RESI fellows and interns as needed.
  • Support CenterState CEO’s internal DEI Council and Committee, including: taking meeting notes and maintaining documentation; organize events and programing, and help with logistics; lead programming as needed.
  • Data management and reporting
  • Assist and coordinate RESI events and programming.
  • Connect with vendors and speakers.
  • Work with teams across the organization.
  • Update and track information on Salesforce.
  • Process invoices.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. but can be flexible as agreed to by division leads.

Travel: Local travel is expected for this position.

Minimum Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required. Three years of speaking and presentation experience required; or a master’s degree with student affairs experience preferred. Background in education; business social enterprises; cultural studies; sociology; arts; or experience working in the community on social issues at the intersections of race, gender, LGBTQ+, and religious diversity preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent technical skills and proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other software, as necessary. Salesforce experience a plus.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift up to 20 lbs., open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and, filing cabinets.
