Ashley McGraw Architects Names Calvin Ahn Firm Principal

Ashley McGraw Architects is pleased to announce that Calvin Ahn RA, LEED AP BD+C has been named a Principal in the firm.

 

“I am honored to be given this opportunity of contributing back to the organization that has challenged and taught me so much,” said Ahn who joined the firm in 2002. “I am so much looking forward to not only helping to shape the evolution of Ashley McGraw but also continuing to serve our clients in a way that is reflective of their core essence. I am very excited about what’s ahead of Ashley McGraw.” As Principal, Ahn will continue in his role leading projects in the higher education market.

Ahn has led some of the most innovative, sustainable projects at Ashley McGraw Architects. He is highly skilled in group facilitation and is a LENSES (Living Environments in Natural, Social, and Economic Systems) Regenerative Development Facilitator. His extensive experience with high performing projects includes the LEED Platinum new MacArthur Elementary School in Binghamton, the LEED Platinum new Syracuse Center of Excellence in Syracuse, and the LEED Gold Le Moyne College Coyne Science Building Addition. He is currently leading the design team for a research facility at Binghamton University, Nuthatch Hollow, which is targeting Living Building certification. 

 

An active member of the design community, Ahn has presented his work and research on sustainable design at numerous professional conferences, including the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association BuildingEnergy Conference, Getting to Zero National Forum, and the SUNY Physical Plant Administrators Association.

 

Ahn holds a Master of Architecture degree from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Southern California.
