In the first of a three-part series covering Europe, Asia and Latin America,  Kevin Butler, Jacek Szufan, Marco Geisselhardt and Randy Worzala of TMF Group will present the Global Business Complexity Index for European Countries explaining how many of our European trading partners rank and why.

This program is open to Central New York International Businesses and is for companies of all sizes who wish to learn more about increasing their international business in the European Union.

TMF Group has been publishing their Global Business Complexity Index annually since 2013.  Their 2020 report is overshadowed by massive economic and social disruption caused by COVID-19.  The crisis will affect all aspects of business from how and where goods are sourced, to where work gets done and how it gets done, to where goods are bought and sold. 

Speakers include:

Kevin Butler

Kevin has more than 19 years’ experience in finance and accounting roles. Prior to joining TMF Group, he was Chief Finance Officer at FirstRand Ireland Plc, an Irish subsidiary of the FirstRand Group in South Africa. Kevin has also held accounting, finance and regulatory roles at KPMG, Baker Tilly and IBRC. Kevin is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) and holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Accounting and Finance from Dublin City University.


Jacek Szufan

In his nearly 15 year-long career in VAT, Jacek has gone from worrying about VAT return boxes to thinking about the impact of changes within the VAT cross-border ecosystem and their influence on businesses; their resources, technology, ability to adapt and manage the accelerating process of change. All this in a bid to help companies understand the complexity of VAT and ease the compliance burden.


Marco Geisselhardt

Marco Geisselhardt is the Cluster Managing Director for Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Marco has 30 years of professional experience, primarily in the financial services sector. Prior to joining TMF Group, Marco was Country Manager Switzerland in Clearstream also leading the Sales & RM teams in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany and Austria. In the last few years, he has been consistently and successfully focusing on Relationship Management, Sales, Mergers and Acquisitions and has rich experience working in the Investment Funds domain.


Randy Worzala

Randy Worzala is Head of Sales – Americas at TMF Group. Randy has more than 15 years of progressive leadership experience helping Fortune 500 clients expand globally, grow revenue, and lower their cost structures.

He has a consistent track record building significant and meaningful, profitable organizations while creating a sales-driven culture. Randy’s background includes working with a Big Four accounting firm, and he has significant experience with multiple mergers and acquisitions. Randy earned a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Purdue University.
