The Tech and Culture Speaker Series is devoted to promoting diversity, inclusion, and belonging in tech related fields. The series aims to highlight diverse speakers who are currently leading in the tech industry and allow them to share their personal stories, which will inspire, motivate and transform the mindset of the diverse audiences.

Join Generation Next for a special event highlighting the distinct experience that women have in tech presented by Buffy Quinn. Buffy is an associate professor at Onondaga Community College teaching a variety of courses including meteorology, environmental regulation, geography, natural hazards and disasters, and geographic information systems. In addition to teaching Buffy directs the Geospatal Science and Technology AAS program at OCC and serves as the principal investigator on a National Science Foundation grant project to integrate UAV data analysis credentials into that curriculum. Buffy Quinn earned her BS in geography from the University of Southern Mississippi and an MA in geography from the University of Denver. Before beginning her full-time teaching career in 2013, she worked for over 20 years as a geospatial analyst focusing on large environmental remediation projects including Onondaga Lake in Syracuse.
