Building More Than Beds: Nave Law Helps 40 Local Children Sleep Safe This Christmas

Nave Law Firm spent the weekend partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace – Syracuse, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that no child sleeps on the floor, to build beds for children in need across the Central New York community.

During the volunteer build event, members of the Nave Law team helped construct 40 beds, providing safe and comfortable sleeping spaces for 40 local children just days before Christmas. Each bed will be delivered fully furnished, including a mattress and bedding, to children who previously did not have a bed of their own.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a national nonprofit organization with local chapters across the country. The Syracuse chapter serves families by addressing a critical but often overlooked need: a proper place for children to sleep. Through community partnerships and volunteer-driven builds, the organization helps improve stability, comfort, and well-being for children facing housing insecurity or financial hardship.

For Nave Law Firm, the initiative reflects a core belief that every child deserves a good night’s sleep in their own bed. The firm views community involvement as an extension of its mission to serve people during difficult moments and to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of the communities it calls home.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace – Syracuse continues to accept donations of bedding and other supplies and encourages community members to get involved by donating, volunteering, or purchasing items from its wishlist.
